DIGITAL HUMANITIES

"Digital Humanities" is a cover term for a wide variety of projects which make use of digital technologies in one way or another. The term is rather vague and not always helpful. Still, the innovative use of digital technology has the potential to greatly enhance the way we interact with ancient and classical texts in research and education.

At the Norwegian Institute of Philology (PHI) we use digital technologies for comparative historical philology. This means that we develop tools to both present and analyse historical texts.

Our work and our thoughts about the implementation of Digital Humanities technologies and methods will be posted here.

We expect to be able to present some of our projects here in the beginning of 2019.
