AND ENDANGERED LANGUAGES
One of the main research areas of PHI is Linguistic Heritage and Endangered Languages. This research area includes projects which study how state institutions and other actors manage questions of linguistic and literary heritage. Other projects investigate the relationship between ancient and classical written languages and their modern spoken relatives, in many cases marginal and endangered languages.
Currently, the following projects and activites at PHI belong to this research area:
Language, Legacy and Landey
For more information about these and other projects, go to the PHI project page, seminar page and course page.
The Norwegian Institute of Philology will publish more comprehensive information about this research area in due course.
As an independent academic institution, PHI relies on grants and donations to develop further. If you wish to support PHI, you can give a donation – or express your moral support by liking and sharing our posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
